With the dog days of summer comes the realization that Wilton sidewalk sales days are here, and with them, the Library Summer Book Sale. Known as a very occasional sale, book lovers can find all kinds of summer reading fun Thursday, July 14 at Saturday, July 16, 10-2 each day. Guests can enjoy browsing the selection of paperbacks, books for children and adolescents in the gallery, while remaining cool in the air conditioning. For information: 203-762-3950, ext. 213.Boozoo dog Peppy, the "toy dog" who lives at Stepping Stones Museum, came to visit the library Saturday, July 16, 11 at 11:30. Children aged 2 to 5 and their caregivers are invited to join the party with this adorable dog, which will delight children with a story and a craft. Registration is required, no fees. Drop-in fun for kids and crafts summer story times continue on Mondays and Tuesdays, respectively, in the library.Children of all ages can enjoy making a craft theme every Monday August 15, 10:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Drop-in Crafts summer. Children aged one to six can enjoy drop-in story hours, Tuesday, at different times depending on their age group through August 9. It is neither necessary nor registration fees for a program. Teens rate teenager can enjoy jewelry making, photography and make healthy snacks in programs that week.Tuesday, July 19, 3-5, join the artist Katie Stevenson and learn to make jewelry from nuts, bolts and other hardware in a variety of jewelry materials for teens. Registration is required as space is limited. The dog days of summer photo contest for teens will end Wednesday, July 20 with the last call for entries. Any photo Funny pet can be enrolled in an 8 "x 10" photo size. A submission form must be completed for each entry - one entry per student. Forms are available at the counter and online circular.While the children come to the library to submit their photos on July 20, they may be interested in learning how to make healthy snacks in the snack program adolescent health, 3 to 5. Registration is required. Thursday, July 21, teens can drop between 11 and 4 to decorate a glass bottle with sand and bring it home with a flower. Programs for adolescents are for children entering the seventh through 12 and recent high school graduates. The programs are sponsored by the John and Patricia Curran Teen Fund and are free.
